Ireheart awoke to the bright shafts of sunlight seeping through the entrance of his makeshift den. He got up careful not to stir the other 2 warriors sharing his den. He had insisted on his own den, but through a consensus, he had been forced to share. Scowling at the two lazy cats lying on the soft, green moss, he padded out of the den into to warm morning sunshine. He nodded to the few warriors sitting in their... clearing... sharing tongues with each other, and stalked out of the dump they called a camp.
He walked around the new territory, the dew soaked grass licking his paws. He was walking towards the river to see if he could catch some fish. As he padded towards the river, he stepped on something shiny and sharp. He winced in pain, ever so slightly, that not even StarClan would tell. His pads had strengthened over time, so it took more that a shiny piece of twoleg garbage to hurt him. He looked down in disgust. He kicked it aside and continued. But as he neared the river, he noticed more and more garbage lying around. What are we living in?, he thought. He gazed at the river, the main part of his home, the key to his survival, and spat at it. It wasn't even worth his time. He turned around, and walked back to the camp. Though the thoughts of garbage, and maggots in his food clouded his mind the whole way.
As he walked into the camp, most of the cats were stirring out of their dens, squinting at the bright sunlight. Ireheart had made a decision. An important decision. He padded to the center of the clearing, and gave a shrill yowl. All the cats within ear's shot turned their heads in surprise. Ireheart was going to take charge and clean up the territory. He could hold it back no longer- he was going to tell the other cats.
"Listen up, guys! I have taken a good thorough look around our territory, and have noticed a bounty of twoleg garbage lying around everywhere. We must do something about it, or we will not be able to survive in our new home. The other Clans already think us weak. We must prove them wrong!"

Dawnfeather looked up at the sound of Ireheart's voice. The small gray tabby had been in the process of making another den, but this seemed more important. Lifting herself to her paws she padded over to where Ireheart was standing. Her soft blue eyes glanced at the handsome tom, and her fur grew warm. She loved Ireheart...but could she ever tell him? Every hint she tried to give, he would just ignore.
Shaking the thoughts away, the small warrior listened to his words. Once he had finished she spoke "Your right Ireheart," she paused looking around, then continued "But what should we do? There is no place to dispose of it, unless we move it to another clans territory" she knew that was a bad plan. It would only make the other clans more angry. She wanted Ireheart to be impressed of her...she had to think of something. "What if...we bury it all on the edge of the territory?"

Ireheart looked over to where the small, but powerful voice was coming from. It was Dawnfeather. Ireheart was annoyed by Dawnfeather, because she would always act weird around him. But this time when she spoke, she actually made some sense. A small, mysterious smile appeared slowly on his face, and he felt his fur grow warm. Ireheart could see that there in fact was something in that furry, gray head.
"Dawnfeather is right! We should collect all the garbage, take it as far away from our camp as possible, then bury it as best we can." He looked down at his claws. They itched to get started, and feel the soft dirt. It was probably best to bury it near the ShadowClan border, since the garbage would damage any part of their musty territory, and since it would show the hostile Clan that RiverClan was not about to go down without a fight!

Dawnfeather opened her eyes wide with shock. He...he agreed with me? The she-cat filled with happiness and jumped up, her claws digging in the dirt. Her gray tabby fur was bristling with eagerness to get started. She glanced at Ireheart. "Shall we?" she looked around, and it seemed no one else was going at the moment. "We could start in the camp, then down to the river" she said in a strong voice, moving closer to Ireheart, her heart beating faster as she brushed pelts with him. Her fur grew warm and she looked away. Why couldnt she just say she loved him?

Ireheart could see that Dawnfeather was just trying to help, but try as she did, she was still illogical. "It would be better if we all split up and devided up. I will lead a patrol to the river and start cleaning up, while someone else could lead a patrol to the other side of the camp. And the apprentices, elders and queens can work on the camp." Ireheart could feel Dawnfeather brushing up against his side, and he got a little creeped out. He stepped to the side a little, but then the warmth in his fur died down. He cleared his head of his infatuating thoughts, and focussed on the mission. "Okay, lets get to it! So, who wants to come with me to the river?"

Dawnfeather's heart sank as Ireheart said they should all split up. She always felt empty, when he wasnt around. She had to do something and make it quick. "I'll come with you" she blurted out. Her soft tabby fur was quivering with energy. The small warrior stepped in front of Ireheart and focused on him. With a small quiet voice she spoke. "Is that okay with you?"

Ireheart was a bit weirded out by the fact the Dawnfeather clung to him like bees to honey, but he shrugged it off. What the heck- maybe the small femme could learn a thing or two from being around him. "Sure, why not. So who's going to lead the next patrol?"
