Nimbustorm was exploring the RiverClan territory, trying to get used to it. As he padded through the barren, atrocious territory, he got lost in his thoughts, and without knowing, he started towards the WindClan border. Just as he was about to cross the border line, the crisp, fresh scent of WindClan, flooded his nostrils. He jerked back into reality, and realized where he was.
He looked around him with lucid blue optics, and smirked at the the odd surroundings. On one side of him, there was dirty beach-like land with garbage all over, and on one side was plain, flat grasslands. He wondered what it felt like to be a WindClan cat, running at top speed through the territory without a care in the world, the breeze ruffling your fur. Tempted as he was, Nimbustorm didn't want to give WindClan more reason to try and drive RiverClan out. As he turned around to go back to camp, his nose picked up the sweet scent of a she-cat approaching. A WindClan she-cat.

Striking teal eyes peered over the moorlands. Her lands. She was the only thing between this land flooding with the RiverClan filth. Her, Claritystar. One cat.
Claritystar quivered, the new day's crisp chill biting and clawing against her vivid calico coat. The wind brought along with it a stinging, surprising scent, and Claritystar could only jump in surprise. That scent . . . it smelled of fish and garbage. It was a truely putrid scent, belonging to one clan. A RiverClanner. And this RiverClanner had definetely crossed the line. From the vividness of the scent, it had become clear to her. The RiverClanner had crossed her border.
Claritystar didn't know what she should do; she'd only been a leader for a few moons, and had very little experience. Claritystar would have to confront the problem and go from there. Her plan of action was very small; and would crumble away at one false move. Claritystar's mind reeled as she took a step forward. She'd heard it was always better to confront her fears, right? Claritystar wasn't very sure of anything.
Stepping a few feet forward, Claritystar made her way through a strong, well supported thornbush. As the RiverClan scent became stronger, so did her fears. Claritystar's legs felt weak, and she could feel them, bending with her fear underneath her. Maybe she should go back to fetch some more able bodied warriors . . .
Claritystar was too late. Going back to fetch more warriors was a idea that would no longer going to work. She'd confront her fears . . .
A few foxlengths in front of her, sat a small, ginger-white male, looking rather clueless. Maybe he's just lost . . . It'd be best to ask him . . . Claritystar thingyed her head to the side, her mouth drawling open. "Hey, you there! What are you doing in WindClan territory?" Claritystar's voice was full of dignity and importance. Who would talk back to her? That would be foolish.
Claritystar drew her fang up, and whipped her tail back and fourth a few times. He was a good looking, sturdy looking male, and seemed friendly enough, depite the noticeable scars that crawled across the tom's fur. Claritystar's hackles raised, snapping her jaws a few times, wishing the male to get out.

It was too late. The WindClan she-cat had spotted him. By the sound of voice, he could tell that the she-cat was smaller than him, but determined. He turned around slowly, confidence beginning to well up inside of him. As he looked up with tranquil blue orbs, he found himself gazing at a beautiful, petite calico. Nimbustorm felt his fur get warm and fuzzy. His hard gaze softened as he breathed in the subtle, sweet scent.
"I am truly sorry. I was walking along our border... I must've stepped over it without noticing." Nimbustorm surprised himself with the way he spoke to the beautiful she-cat. He would expect himself to stutter, and make a complete fool out of himself. But something about this one made him feel secure, and normal.
He tried to turn around, and head back to camp, hoping that his Clan wouldn't find out about this - after all, he was their deputy, and he didn't want to lose the Clan's respect before he properly gained it - but he couldn't. It was as if his legs were glued to the ground. He began to feel awkward standing in another Clan's territory, unable to move, sweating in places. He tried to force a smile across his face, and eventually he did. What is wrong with me? I don't act like this around others? And there's nothing different about this cat... is there?

Claritystar's breath stopped when the tom-cat spoke. His voice was so sweet and light, as if it had been skillfully crafted by the angels. She couldn't help herself. Claritystar couldn't stop herself from relaxing totally. Her bodice stopped shaking, and she was firm, and as strong as a rock. He was a brilliant looking tom-cat, and she felt warm and hot under her fur as she watched his baby blue optics staring her down.
"Sir? I request that you have an escort help you back to camp. You don't want to get lost across the wrong side of the border again, ri'?" Claritystar smirked, padding forward and rubbing up against Nimbustorm. "I'd be happy to escort you, sir. The name is Claritystar." Claritystar mewed to Nimbustorm grinning again, sweeping her furry calico tail against the dirt.
Claritystar took a careful step forward now, batting her eyes at him as she looked up and down his nice figure. He was very handsome; his mate must be pleased with his looks and the looks of her kittens that she most certainly had with him.
Claritystar's fear had totally bolied over, it seemed, and had caused her now to calm down quite a bit. Whenever she looked into the RiverClanner's hypnotic baby blue eyes . . . this was what made her stop. The tom-cat's eyes, like a beautiful ocean, calmed her down. Claritystar was grateful for this, actually, as now she could act more like a leader and less like a sniveling, confused she-cat who had stumbled against a tom-cat of the opposing clan.
Claritystar gave her head a toss, then raced over the RiverClan border mark, an odd feeling rising in her belly. It wasn't fear, this time. She was not scared. She was excited.

Nimbustorm was surprised that this was the WindClan leader. He had heard from some of the other cats that the WindClan leader was a brute, cruel she-cat. This ravishing calico piece of work could not be the mean, vile one that he had heard about. He quietly followed making sure that his fur did not brush against hers. He felt a pit swelling in his stomach, though he had no idea why.
Once the pair got to the border, Nimbustorm stepped over. He turned to Claritystar with those entrancing blue eyes, and mewed. "Thank you, Clairtystar. I am sorry, and I assure it won't happen again." He couldn't help but spreading a smile across his face. He gave the smaller femme a wink, and turned around towards the RiverClan camp.
