aftermath.<---click this to see that it's the aftermath of the dinosaurs soon it'll be of most of the beasts
Aftermath is an intermediate-advanced unique South American Pleistocene epoch role-playing game. We role-play Doedicurus, a type of glyptodont [a huge prehistoric armadillo], in particular.
--------
After the mass extinction marking the end of the Cretaceous period--and the dinosaurs--mammals and birds start to take over the world. Size becomes an aspect of the mammals, not only the birds, who are the descendants of the extinct reptiles who ruled the earth for millions of years.
South America has been isolated from most of the rest of the world. Due to this isolation, strange creatures have evolved here: Macrauchenia, an odd-looking grazer; Doedicurus, a car-sized armadillo; Megatherium, a bear-like sloth; Phorusrhacos, a meat-eating bird; and many others. Some Smilodon, a saber-toothed cat, often incorrectly called the "saber-toothed tiger", have migrated from North America to live here, as have several other animals.
For Doedicurus, life isn't too bad. Their armor protects them from Phorusrhacos and Smilodon, as does their club-like tail-tip. But the word is changing, no matter how slowly, and it seems to be changing for the worse. Now it's time for the Doedicurus to face the facts. The world is growing colder, making it hard for them to flourish due to their herbivorous ways, and new, impressive mammals are evolving, some that may even be able to stand up to the huge armadillos.
Warriors: In The Night « Result #4 on Jun 28, 2008, 9:06pm »
Sick and tired of the same old, boring Warriors RP site? The ones with evil cats, prophecies from StarClan and all that jazz? Well, than, Warriors: In The Night, is defiantly the place for you. There are four clans StoneClan, SwiftClan, SilentClan, and ShadeClan, all with high positions open. This is a semi-literate RP site, welcoming members, and needing staff.
For moons upon moons upon moons, the clans have lived peacefully in the same place, not bothered by anything. Prey was plentiful, and even in Leafbare not one rib showed. But then, a mysterious animal starts showing itself in StoneClan territory. It plucks off kits and apprentices like mice, and bats warriors aside as if they are flies. Eventually, this odd new creature spreads itself into each territory, and the pack is so large, it seems impossible that they will be able to drive it away. What are these horrifying animals? Wolves.
StarClan has abandoned them. Medicine cats and leaders are dreamless, and the sky has been covered in clouds, so Silverpelt is not visible.
Will the clans have to move their homes, or will some miracle come and save them from the horror they are living? There is only one way to find out.

[Introduction to Sidewalk]
Running, running, always running But never getting anywhere Panting, reaching, struggling, gasping Falling, always falling You'll never reach the other side You'll never make it out alive So why try?
Everyone has a past. Everyone has a history, a tale of horror, a dark secret they don't want anyone to know about. When your own life is awash with misery and sorrow, you stop wondering why the others look beaten too. You don't need their suffering added to your own. You learn to deal with the grief by yourself. You close your heart, so you cannot feel, but the world doesn't stop crying.
The nightmare is never ending It just goes on and on It waits for you, once have have awoken Waiting for you to come back to it When all that awaits you is horror, fear, death Why bother to sleep?
Yes, we all have our own story, our own unique tale of woe. But they're all the same really, in the end. A story about sadness, pain, heartbreak. No one can change the past. But you can change the future. The past says who you were. Only you can say who you will be. By the way you act today. By the way you act tomorrow, and the day after that. By the way you cope with the hand you were dealt. Those who have courage overcome the darkness and step forth into the light. And it is here, in this place of new beginnings, where such things happen. This is the place where the scars of the past are healed, the place where the frightened and abused learn to trust again. This is the place where the wild at heart at last learn to dream once more.
Here is your out Ahead of you, the end to the nightmares It's not the light at the end of the tunnel It's another, stronger light, there in the distance There, on the horizon, coming with the rising sun I know it looks far, but I'll be there with you Every step of the way Together, we can escape the torment Are you coming?

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed then the fire nation attacked. Only the avatar, master of all four elements could stop him. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new avatar; an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he is ready to save anyone. But I believe, Aang can save the world.
And he did. After over 100 years of battling, the war has finally come to a close. Aang has managed to defeat Fire Lord Ozai and restore balance to the world. Because of his defeat, Prince Zuko has come into power as the new Fire Lord of the Fire Nation. Although the war has come to a close, there is still tension from the other nations toward the Fire Nation. They fear that it is only a matter of time before the war will once again begin, with Fire Lord Zuko now in charge. As much as he tries to convince others of his loyalty to keep peace, very few have believed his promise.
All of the nations have begun to rebuild in the aftermath of the war. Their villages and cities have been either destroyed or were once under the occupation of the Fire Nation. Avatar Aang has set each of his friends in charge of helping their nations in the rebuilding process. Katara and Sokka have been set in charge of the Water Tribes (Sokka south and Katara north), Toph in charge of the Earth Kingdom, and Zuko as the new Fire Lord. Aang himself, travels the world, overseeing that each nation continues to progress. He does not lead the air nation, for he has other matters to attend too.
In the aftermath of the war, the tension that is still held by other nations toward the Fire Nation is still strong. As a precaution, the other three nations have made a secret alliance behind the backs of their leaders against the fire nation. They still find it hard to trust the nation that destroyed their lives. How could you trust someone who has destroyed almost everything you had? Few know of this coup of course, and those who do have been either killed for have joined the group. If they are going to take action against the fire nation is still unknown, so only time will tell...

The strong creme coloured deputy of RiverClan padded towards ThreeTrees. ThreeTrees, he hated that name. There were no longer 3 Clans in the territory; there were 4. The name would soon be changed, he thought. He cleared his head of his thoughts, and focussed on the current task. He had been invited by Ashstar to attend a meeting between him and the other leaders. Since Nimbustorm was the only form of leadership that RiverClan had, he couldn't refuse. As he neared the sacred grounds, the scent of ThunderClan and WindClan flooded his nostrils. He took a deep breath, calmed himself, and entered the clearing. Almost like magnets on metal, Nimbustorm's lustrous blue orbs immediately found themselves gazing at Claritystar.
"Greetings, Ashstar. Claritystar- how are the prey running in WindClan." He found himself being rude, not posing a question to Ashstar, but ever since his encounter with Claritystar on WindClan territory, all he could think about was the beautiful leader. He took his place on the other side of Claritystar. As his fur warmed, he awaited the hard stare he expected from Ashstar.

The she-cat stomped across the field, her tired teal eyes glowing with an uncomfortable light. The she-cat has a tiresome day; and a moonlight gathering with the other leaders didn't alleviate her aching muscles. The cat was relatively young, though, in this case, it didn't matter.
Claritystar spotted the ThunderClan leader a few feet away from her, and she gave a sheepish grin in the tom-cat's presence. He was older than herself, though, he still remained incredibly good looking. She could feel her body; she was shaking in her calico coat, just looking at his tense, muscular form, shining against the silver moon. He was perfectly good looking; she was sort of surprised that he hadn't found a mate. Of course . . . the clan lands were so empty, that that surprise was dulled down a bit. There were so few cats, that even the most gorgeous tom would find it hard to get a female to chase after him.
The clans were even lucky to have some leaders and one Deputy . . . This clans were in serious trouble, though, in Claritystar's opinion.
Claritystar's paws grazed the ground as she danced along; surprisingly light on her feet, despite the long day and the muscle pain. "Hey, Ashstar. Where are the others?" Claritystar's voice was light and bouncy; her teal eyes not hiding her curious, flooding emotions.
This . . would prove to be an interesting meeting between the cats. Claritystar had no idea if all of them would even show up; she was curious.
